Welcome to the U.S. Senate Toastmasters Club
Why Join the U.S. Senate Toastmasters Club
Join our club to improve your public speaking and leadership skills, one meeting at a time. As a member of the U.S. Senate Toastmasters club, you will enjoy fellowship with people who all have the same goal: becoming better public speakers and/or better leaders. At each club meeting, you are guaranteed to learn something new! For example, join the U.S. Senate Toastmasters club to:
- Get over your fear of speaking in public
- Provide positive leadership at work or in your business
- Develop skills related to time keeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure
- Improve your overall communication skills
Who We Are
We are a diverse group of Senate staffers, government and private sector employees that share the common goal of improving our public speaking and leadership skills. We take great pride in being a professional support system, so to speak, as each of us contributes to the club in an effort to help our fellow club members to achieve the goal of being a great public speaker and leader! Please visit http://www.ussenatetoastmasters.org/about/ to learn more.
Our club meetings are conveniently located on the Senate side of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Since our meeting location changes periodically, we keep our Facebook and Twitter pages updated with the next meeting location. You don’t need to be a Facebook or Twitter user to see them, but if you are, please Like us and Follow us for all our latest info.
Our club officers can answer questions that you cannot find the answers to on our website. Please visit our Officers page for contact information.
Guests are welcome to attend our meetings prior to joining the club. You do not have to be a club member to attend our meetings. Please visit the Meetings page to learn about what to expect when you visit our club.
